Rocheport
Rocheport, Rocheport, MO 65279
About twelve miles west of Columbia lies the tiny historic village of Rocheport. Life here glides by as slowly as the Missouri River, which rolls past the southern edge of town. Maybe you've come by car, wishing to browse the small shops for antiques, crafts and art. Or maybe you've rolled in on your bicycle after a dusty day on the Katy Trail. Regardless, there are several places to eat, such as Abigail's or the Mulberry Grill & Bakery. For those wishing instead to class it up with wining and dining, there is the nearby Les Bourgeois Bistro with a sweeping bluff-top view. A trio of top-notch (and historically interesting) B&Bs will take in weary travelers. Among these are the Yates House, Amber House and School House. Rocheport sits quite close to noisy Interstate 70. But in the relaxing and peaceful pace of things here, you'd never know it.
