Best Vegetarian

PuraVegan takes common dishes like enchiladas, burgers and noodles and serves them up in a 100 percent raw, vegan, gluten-free fashion. Before the carnivores go running for the door, owner Monica Stoutenborough wants people to know that PuraVegan is by no means a "vegan club," adding that even those on the ever-so-strict paleo diet find they can eat almost everything on the menu. Besides, the goal of PuraVegan is not to make everyone a veggie-loving tree hugger, but to help people improve themselves. The restaurant itself is closed Sunday and Monday to make room for yoga and food classes. "We want to teach people not only how to eat healthy in a restaurant," said Stoutenborough, "but how to take it and form healthy habits at home." From fresh ingredients made from scratch to succulent desserts like cheesecake, PuraVegan will turn vegetarians and otherwise into believers.
