Central West End
Euclid from Delmar to Forest Pk. Parkway, St. Louis, MO 63108
The Central West End has always been a hotbed of restaurant activity, but right now it appears to have entered something of a golden age. To the north, mainstay Dressel's has reinvented itself as not merely a great pub, but a standout restaurant. To the south, Gerard Craft's Brasserie by Niche and Taste serve as bastions of Old World sophistication and contemporary cool (respectively). And to the west, relative newcomer Salt has attained national acclaim, including a nomination in the "Best New Restaurant" category of this year's James Beard Foundation Awards. Throughout the CWE, the restaurants offer something for every taste: American bistro (Liluma), deli (Kopperman's) and diner (the Majestic); Indian (Rasoi); Vietnamese (Little Saigon Cafe) and sushi (Chi). Best of all, the Central West End remains the city's most walkable neighborhood. You can window-shop (as it were) among these and its many other restaurants until you find exactly what you're hungry for.
