Plush
3224 Locust St., St Louis, MO 63103

Plush is unlike any other club in town. Midtown's multilevel monstrosity is perhaps best described as a fever dream — an eclectic, artsy thing without care for convention. The 40,000-square-foot behemoth houses within itself a fully operational club, venue, two bars and a restaurant that serves food from 7 a.m. until 1 a.m. every day. On the first floor you'll find the stage, venue and greasy-spoon-but-more-inspired restaurant. The second floor is home to the balcony and game room, which includes ping-pong, shuffleboard and pool. Seating and tables are scattered throughout, ranging from couches to diner booths to barber chairs. "It wouldn't be Plush if the furniture wasn't moved around constantly," explains employee Sarah Cochran while repositioning a table. "We kind of keep it a blank slate so people can do whatever they want with it." Since opening in January, the venue has attracted some impressive talent, including Josh Ritter, Guided By Voices and the Walkmen. With its quirky wit and refusal to take itself too seriously, Plush is right at home in St. Louis.
