Best Dance Club

Plush is hard to peg, and depending on what’s on the night’s itinerary, it's something of a chameleon. With enough space to accommodate an art-gallery opening or a non-ironic rave — and the drive to curry favor with both crowds — it’s a one-of-a-kind venue on the St. Louis club scene. On one side of this 10,000-square-foot space is a two-floor restaurant and bar area for casual dining, and steps away is a large, open space with ample floor for dancing as well as a substantial stage where live music acts ranging from indie and hip-hop to punk and jazz play. Its industrial aesthetic is charming, with an underground club feel — almost authentic to a time when that actually meant something — making the atmosphere at Plush trendy without trying too hard.
