Best Dance Club

Club Viva in the Central West End offers a varied, and otherwise largely absent, collection of nightly dance events for St. Louis dance-seekers: Latin salsa, reggae, international and Bollywood, just to name a few. The dance floor at Club Viva is roomy enough, and though the doors close at 1:30 a.m., it opens at 8 p.m., offering more than five hours of Latin salsa (or Latin fusion) to step to. For the truly committed, the club hosts complimentary salsa dancing classes with the cost of a cover charge, as well as private lessons for the more ambitious. The ambiance at Club Viva is no-frills casual, but that doesn’t stop clubgoers from dressing up — after all, they’re searching for a salsa partner.
