Foam Coffee & Beer

Honestly, if there were a way to see every single local musical event at Foam, we wouldn't have a problem with it. By day, this Cherokee Street space is a comfortable spot to enjoy a latte or a beer, with comfortable couches in front and a Pachinko collection hanging from the back walls. By night, it becomes a cozy concert venue. All ages are admitted, and the shows are free or cheap. Local acoustic acts like Dubb Nubb and Cassie Morgan & the Lonely Pine thrive here, but it's not so precious a space that it can't handle, say, Volcanoes or Bruiser Queen turning up the volume. Occasionally, touring bands like Mount Eerie, Jennifer O'Connor and Gospel Music have stopped by, and there are comedy nights and open-mic nights. The drinks are cheap, the crowd is friendly and the music is usually worthwhile; what more could you want?
