Best Sports Bar

Columbia City is such a strong neighborhood that folks here congregate in bars to talk, not to watch TV—which becomes problematic when there's a big game. Fortunately for local sports fans, Rookies has screens to spare, and awfully good pub grub to go with them. The bloody Marys are spicy, the wings are crisped and the French dips made with high-quality beef. If there's a drawback to the sleek bar, it's the dispassionate crowd: Many eaters are actually here for the food—or the neighborly conversation.
