The family-owned Taylor Shellfish has long been hawking its fresh clams, mussels, oysters, scallops, and crabs from their eight farm locations around the Puget Sound. In 2011, they finally took root in Seattle with a Melrose Market storefront, where shoppers can pick up live shellfish and crustaceans and diners can slurp up fresh shucked oysters or partake of chef Xinh Dwelley’s chowder bar, which includes a geoduck variation. Top it all off with a glass of wine specially chosen to pair with the seafood.
