Othello Street Station
4219 S. Othello St., Seattle, WA 98118
No, not to go to Tukwila. Instead, disembark two stops before that bustling metropolis and enjoy an international dining excursion at the Othello Street Station. There's the Vietnamese mini-mall just off the train, where Pho My Chau serves a more-than-respectable beef noodle soup, and Tammy's Deli could supply your house party with banh mi, rice-flour pastries, prepackaged salads, and fully decorated cakes for the cost of a crudité platter from QFC. Hoang Lan, just next door to the shopping complex, makes some of the best Hue-style noodles in the city. Across the street, King Chicken & Gyros serves a mean halal goat curry, while three blocks north, Thai Palms specializes in chicken laab, lemongrass-studded sausages, and other Lao delicacies. Also nearby: Cambodian markets, Mexican taquerias, and-if you can hike a half-mile north to the corner of Graham and MLK-some of the city's best dim sum at Joy Palace.-Jonathan Kauffman
