Sonic Boom's been forced to close down a location in Fremont and two in Capitol Hill over the years, but its best store on Ballard's Market Street is still alive and kicking. Bright, clean, and organized, with friendly employees who'll help you sort through the selections or chat about what's playing on the stereo, it's an ideal place to spend an afternoon browsing. The used vinyl selection is smaller than other specialty shops, but if you're looking for a newer record, you'll either find it here or they'll special order it for you.
