That Annapurna Cafe is underground is part of its charm. Nestled in the heart of Capitol Hill, it's unassuming and easy to overlook, but certainly worth the trip downstairs. Dim lighting and candlelit tables put the focus on the food, which is delectable. Rich and flavorful without being heavy, the curries (coconut is a standout) are the perfect consistency to be sopped up with the airy, fluffy naan.
