Best Gluttonous Brunch Experience

"No sissy food here!" reads the sign outside Brown Bag Café. That would be a gross understatement. Even a famished lumberjack would struggle to clean his plate at this family-owned restaurant. (Fittingly, the first Brown Bag in Carnation was a hit with loggers during the '80s.) The hardy skillets weigh about five pounds apiece. The bread, made fresh each morning in the cafe's onsite bakery, is hand-sliced into thick all-you-can-eat slabs. You could use the giant cinnamon rolls as weapons-throw one at somebody's head and they're a goner. Brown Bag Café serves unapologetically huge portions of comfort food, making it a perfect place to spend an idle Sunday afternoon. Be prepared to put your name on a 20-minute-plus waiting list to get a table on weekends. But know that it's well worth it.-Erika Hobart
