In a city filled with happy-hour deals that amount to paltry discounts within a finite window of time that's inconvenient for the average after-work tippler, Genghis Khan offers $1 bottles of beer-any beer-from 3 p.m. until close (typically 10 p.m.) every goddamn day, provided you order an appetizer, which you'll want to do anyway to avoid crawling out the front door. It's literally a better deal than purchasing a six-pack to go from any downtown bodega, and you get to do your drinking in a Chinese restaurant with a badass name that sits next door to the Showbox, making it one of the best pre-funk setups in town.
