Kau Kau is so absurdly cheap that it would likely draw a crowd even if it didn't hang glistening roasted ducks in its window, the serious food lovers' equivalent of a flashing neon “eat here” sign. A party of four could spend $30 and head home with leftovers. But price and aesthetics aside, the barbecued meats here are terrific, especially when folded into rice or noodles. Slice into one of those ducks, and the crisp skin oozes rich fat; underneath, the sweet meat is tender and juicy.
