Best Unusual Cupcake

Listen up, cake-loving carnivores. This is your joint, right here. Because these guys make a bacon maple cupcake that is sheer bloody-minded lunacy. And we love it. The maple flavor is rich, the frosting is creamy and sat atop it all are a few tiny chunks of smoky, smoky bacon. Someone at Cako was smart enough to keep the bacon at a minimum so's not to overwhelm the balance of the thing. Sure, it's weird... but it's also wonderful. With seven Bay Area locations -- including four in San Francisco -- there's no excuse to not take a walk on the wild side.
