Try this option: Nap's backyard is directly adjacent to El Rio's — only a chain-link fence separates the two patios — but while El Rio is regularly packed and clamorous, Nap's backyard is often empty. Thus you can avoid the El Rio crowds (and the cover charge) and sit comfortably at Nap's while still totally getting to hear the band playing next door. Free concerts for cheapskates: so full of win.
