Best Coffeehouse

Four Barrel arguably roasts the best coffee beans in town. We credit this to the roasters, because other shops have equally interesting single-estate sources, but Four Barrel usually comes out ahead. The cafe is a striking room with mounted boar's heads, sturdy wooden tables, a giant roasting machine, and a parklet out front framed in wrought iron. The baristas, some of whom are memorialized on illustrated coffee mugs, pull a high-quality shot, and there's a slow bar where someone can talk you through several different methods of making drip coffees.
