Best Waterfront Dining

Ocean views are accessible from anywhere on the Beach House premises (sans the bathroom). But you can only watch the waves crash from their outside patio, a highly coveted spot. Only about six tables are there, so make a reservation, but if you forget, there are always the huge Bloody Marys to tide you over while you wait. Views are best at sunset, but waves can be seen breaking at nighttime thanks to a strong light projected from underneath the deck. And the Beach House's homey motif creates a more down-to-earth ambiance than the neighboring beachfront restaurants and at a fraction of the price—especially if you order from the Sunset Special, which offers nine entrées including lobster and shrimp for half off.
