Family-owned since the 1960s, La Cucaracha is a down-to-earth neighborhood joint, festively decorated with murals, trinkets, and pinatas, creating a cozy feel. Nothing fancy here, just icy cold margaritas, big plates of enchiladas, fajitas, chicken mole, quesadillas, and much more. La Cucaracha makes its Bullfighter margarita ($10) with fresh lime and Grand Marnier. A huge jump in quality from its standard margarita, it is well worth the upcharge.
