And it all started with a simple glide around a rink. For $8 per adult ($7 more for skate rental), show your honey some backward crossover skills with a date at the Depot Rink. The former train shed in the heart of downtown is heated during the winter, and the rink-to-ceiling glass displays the outside chill from which you and your party are warmly guarded. Keep the warmth flowing with an on-site snack, or unlace between periods for a cocoa, beer, or glass of wine. Students and military members should also take note of the discounted rates on Thursdays. Charley's Grill and the Stone Arch Bar are both fine adjoining options for drinking and dining.
