Best Beer List

The original Muddy Waters Bar & Eatery in the Wedge neighborhood was known for its coffee. But things changed when it found new digs further south on Lyndale. The coffee is still excellent, and especially welcome in the mornings and afternoons, but the new location really comes alive in the evening, thanks in good part to the bar's excellent beer list, featuring 30 brews on tap. The beer menu has been curated by Surly alum Paddy Whelan, and every selection seems thoughtful. Here you'll find pints you most likely won't see anywhere else in Minnesota, including Stone Arrogant Bastard Ale, Great Lakes Nosferatu, Steel Toe Dissent, and Two Brothers Cane & Ebel. They've also got rising stars like Tallgrass Buffalo Sweat and local staples from Surly, Summit, and Grain Belt. Added bonus: When the weather turns warm, the outdoor patio is one of the cutest in the city.
