  • El Pimiento

    El Pimiento

There is more to Miami Lakes, which is squeezed between Hialeah and Miramar, than residential neighborhoods, golf, and a shrine to sports legend Don Shula. Residents have been hiding a shopping-center tapas gem for almost four years. Complete... More on El Pimiento »

  • Josh's Delicatessen and Appetizing

    Josh's Delicatessen and Appetizing

Not even New York delicatessens are as authentic as Josh's. It's amazing to see thick cuts of house-cured pastrami gleaming with moisture and capped with ribbons of fat. The Angus brisket is cured for ten days, smoked, and then steamed; it evokes... More on Josh's Delicatessen and Appetizing »

  • Oak Tavern

    Oak Tavern

Oak Tavern's wooden tables are worn -- their faded chocolate surfaces fashioned out of reclaimed lumber, their corners burnt with the logo of a majestic oak. Outside, a courtyard envelops the eponymous tree. Inside, the smell of fresh buttermilk... More on Oak Tavern »

Atrio Restaurant & Wine Room at Conrad Miami

Atrio Restaurant is a bit stuffy and serious, but that's not surprising -- it's nestled in the Conrad Miami, a hotel frequented primarily by business travelers. • Churchill's Pub

    Churchill's Pub

Miami is sorely lacking in decent rock clubs, so Churchill's is home to many a scruffy punker who is too real for South Beach. A pair of pool tables, a large room for bands, and a sizable outdoor patio help house the mainland rock faithful. More on Churchill's Pub »

    • In this city of sun, sand, and fast money, the average life expectancy of most megaclubs is, like, a year, two months, and 56 seconds. So Space Miami reaching its 14th anniversary is about as close to nightlife immortality as it gets in the 305. And quite appropriately, the legendary downtown club and afterhours spot is planning to throw an epic almost-decade-and-a-half bash. "Yes," the Space folks just tweeted, "the big news you have been waiting for! We are proud to announce ..." See also: Downtown Miami's Five Best Dance... More on Space »

    • Redbar, the mixed-use cocktail lounge, gallery space in Brickell, is celebrating a relaunch. The bar, henceforth known as Redbar Drink Company, has gotten a retro facelift. Decked out in a New-Orleans-meets-Chicago-speakeasy style, the space features vintage furnishings with rich sepia and burgundy hues. What's also notable about the new-and-improved Redbar Drink Company is their crafted cocktail program. Antar Sosa and Dobomir Dimitrov, who have successfully worked on Barezzito and the Shore Club, have curated some of Miami's best... More on Redbar Drink Company »
