Best Waterfront Bar

Tantalum is pure opulence. From the posh Indonesian-inspired décor (including a grand wall fountain at the entrance) to martinis with flowers floating in them, this waterfront bar stands high above the rest. While the dining section is lovely, the real star of Tantalum is the bar area, which features live music several nights a week that ranges from classic-rock covers to jazz. Choose among an assortment of luxurious couches and chairs, or grab a seat at the 75-foot, mahogany, lit-from-below bar overlooking the docks of Alamitos Bay. Order an Asian pear martini and the most exquisite calamari you've ever had—it really doesn't get any better.
