There are no clown's mouths or mechanical crocodiles at the miniature golf course at Paradise Park. Instead, doglegs and undulations pose the challenges, much like at real golf courses. But gimmick-free doesn't mean fun-free. Rocks protrude from the turf on various holes, ricocheting putts into corners; the seventh hole even utilizes a footbridge. Between the synthetic putting surfaces is a professional-grade landscaping job, and an unpretentious waterfall under the beech trees soothes the senses after a blown 4-footer. Not that we take miniature golf seriously.
