Since opening in 1996, Town Center has become an example of the newest trend in one-stop shopping: the outdoor lifestyle complex. The 750,000-square-foot shopping district is laid out like an open-air marketplace dotted with the usual mall juggernauts. It also features independent couture bastions such as the Standard, a boutique outfitter that sells True Religion and Punk Royal. But the reason why Town Center beats the other malls or the Plaza is its ample parking, which keeps shoppers from having to navigate chilled garages and vast icy lots.
