A show at Dan’s Silverleaf in Denton is a superior night out. Not only do they book some of the best local and touring bands in the DFW area, but the atmosphere is top-notch. The openness of the room and the generally decent-to-good sound make for a very nice way to catch a live show, indeed, be it rock, folk or jazz (or anything, really). Step outside to the relaxed back patio for a smoke between bands. Very much unstuffy, both literally and figuratively, Dan’s has reasonable door and drink prices, and the regular clientele is made up of genuine music fans. A mellow and friendly vibe, good drinks and great music really add up to a very good time.
