Peanut butter in a cocktail? Yeah, you heard right. If you enjoy a Lebowski-style White Russian from time to time, you’ll flip for Mesa’s after-dinner drink, the Toritos. The chef’s special house-infused peanut cachaça (a sugar cane liquor best known for its starring role in Brazil’s national drink, the caipirinha) is shaken with sweetened condensed milk and a dollop of peanut butter and served up icy cold on the rocks. If you dine on Mesa’s regional Mexican cuisine, they might just bring you a round for free, otherwise it’s worth the trek to Oak Cliff to grab a seat at their concrete bar.
