Best Bloody Mary

In the heart of the SMU area sits a restaurant that specializes in cheap Monday night margaritas and Tex-Mex to lure in the broke-but-thirsty college crowd, assuming that exists in those parts. Ozona Bar & Grill offers that well-heeled crowd the typical Saturday and Sunday brunch fare like omelets and eggs Benedict, but the build-your-own bloody mary bar is the main attraction from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. weekends. The bar features various blood mary mixes and a multitude of accompaniments -- olives, horseradish and everything else to make your mary spicier, saltier or more bitter. Pick your vodka -- well options are $4.50 at the station and the better stuff runs $5.50 to $6.50 -- and you'll get a highball to mix your very own hair of the dog. It's a great chance to sample new mixers and ingredients without having to buy a bar's worth of ingredients.
