Best Bakery

There aren't many places left like Vicky Bakery, a family run shop owned by Antonio and Gelasia Cao for 27 years. Housed in modest digs with signs and equipment from an earlier era, the favorites from this Cuban bakery and diner include family recipes for meatballs, bacon-wrapped dates, mini cubanitos, and croquettes. Though savories earn kudos, Vicky Bakery scores higher points for sweets, decadent, flaky indulgences layered with guava or coconut.
